The Foodie Collective is comprised of a group of high school girlfriends, their significant others, and insatiable appetites. Bound together by their love for cooking, eating, and drinking – as well as a healthy competitive side, they began to “Throwdown”.
Amidst our busy schedules, we set aside 1 evening every 6 or so weeks to put our culinary skills to test. Everyone that participates is allowed to vote. Voting is on 15 points: 10 for taste, 3 for plating, 2 for originality and one bonus point that is decided the day of the event. At the end of each Throwdown, the theme, date, and place for the next one is set. A good appetite is strongly recommended!
This is a great idea. It reminds me a show they love over here in France called Un dîner Presque Parfait.
