JEAN-FRANÇOIS: BLUEBERRY AND MAPLE SYRUP CANDIED BACON WITH MELTED GOAT CHEDDAR
Wowza was this breakfast throwdown intense! This past Saturday, the usual suspects came together to battle it out over breakfast delicacies. Out of all the dishes presented, there was one that blew our minds away: Jean-François’ candied bacon. What an idea! Amanda, his lovely girlfriend, misled us by saying that JF was just planning on making bacon. Really? That’s it? He’s never going to win with that! Boy was I wrong. This dish was so delicious! It was caramelized but crunchy. It had a divine subtle blueberry taste, cutting down the saltiness of the bacon, and paired perfectly with a melted goat cheddar. Out of all the complicated dishes, JF’s simple idea won big points!
